Mecasolar and Proinso took part in the ENERGY POINT fair

Feria Energy Point - GreciaLast November the company MECASOLAR and PROINSO through its newly formed subsidiary, MECASOLAR Hellas and PROINSA Hellas took part in the   POINT ENERGY fair   held in Athens. During this fair, the first time both companies had participated together, they had the opportunity to present the MECASOLAR dual-axis solar tracker, sales leader in Europe.

The Greek market welcomed the product with great expectation because of its numerous competitive advantages, as it increases production by more than 35% and offers great flexibility for the installation of any SMA module  and inverters,   thus  significantly reducing  installation costs, in addition to low consumption and maintenance. On the other hand,   wind resistance is greater than 130 km / h.

During the fair the team from the   Greek subsidiary had the pleasure of receiving a visit from   the honourable Minister for Development, Mr. Christos Folias, his team and the fair organisers. The Greek Minister encouraged and congratulated the team at the stand on the commitment by both companies to the renewable energy sector and their work on developing more competitive and efficient products to approach the barrier of "Grid Parity". He also expressed great satisfaction that Greece was the country selected by both companies as the country to begin their industrial internationalization.

PROINSO Hellas and MECASOLAR Hellas possess a logistics warehouse for inverter modules and for manufacturing trackers in Salonika.

22 MWp PLANT!! CONSTRUCTION BEGINS FOR EUROPE'S LARGEST SOLAR POWER PLANT WITH DUAL-AXIS TRACKING SYSTEMS

In November 2007, MECASOLAR began building Europe's largest photovoltaic solar power plant with dual-axis solar trackers. The photovoltaic solar power plant to be built by OPDE will be 22 MWp, thus requiring 2,000 MECASOLAR MS TRACKER 10+ model trackers. All trackers are 11 kWp and will incorporate 3 single-phase Sunny Boy 3300 inverters with a three-phase connection. More than 400 trackers, for a total power of 4 MW, have been installed in the plant as of the date of the news brief, which demonstrates how quickly the engineering, construction and installation work is being executed for this project. This plant will start up prior to September 2008, under RD 661/2007. With this new contract, MECASOLAR has received more than eight thousand tracker orders (88 MWp) for the first half of 2008.
